The band is composed of musicians from around the area who love to get together and play music, including many who play or teach music for a living.
Recent performances included appearances at the Dubuque Oktoberfest, the arboretum, Stone Cliff, and a cruise aboard the American Lady riverboat. The Americana Band has been a staple in the Memorial Day and Labor Day parades, and is known for playing at many community and charity events.
The group performs at the riverfront on Sundays in the summer, as well as playing at the Farmer's Market and in area nursing homes.
